Job description:

Apptricity Corporation is looking for a strong J2EE Systems Engineer candidate with 3 - 5 years of J2EE Application server administration experience. Apptricity software supports all leading J2EE certified Application servers and this position will be responsible for the installation, migration, support and trouble shooting of Application servers at client, QA and development servers. This position is also responsible for build management and support using Ant and development platform support on Eclipse & JBoss.

Requirements:

• Application Servers: In depth knowledge of either JBoss 4.0.3 or Weblogic 8.0.2 installation, deployment, J2EE application preparation for deployment, resource setup(JDBC, JMS, MBean), clustering and load balancing. Any experience with WebSphere 5.0.2 is a plus
• Web Servers: Very good working knowledge of setting up Apache, IIS & Tomcat to front end JBoss and Weblogic application servers is required
• Operating Systems: Very good working knowledge of setting up the Application servers on Windows is required. Working knowledge of setting them up on any variation of Unix or Linux is a big plus
• Languages & Tools: Working knowledge of Java and JSP to troubleshoot deployment issues. Good knowledge of Jakarta Ant to create and maintain build scripts to do builds and deployment
• Experience in setting up Eclipse with JBoss a plus
• Demonstrated experience with performance design for large transaction volume is a plus
• Additionally, this position will be involved with implementing recognized best practices related to release planning and migration requirements for commercial applications
