Job description:

The Sr. Software Engineer will work as part of the Apptricity Advanced Development team to prioritize and improve the range of the Apptricity product. The successful candidate will be a member of the Advanced Development Team, taking responsibility for particular aspects of the Apptricity product suite.

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• A minimum of 5+ years cumulative experience developing commercial enterprise software with at least 2 years experience in a specialty field, i.e. financials, scheduling, etc.
• ERP software development preferred
• 3+ years development in complex applications with industry standard products: Java, EJB, JSP, J2EE, RDBMS
• Knowledge of commercial J2EE application servers like WebSphere, WebLogic, JBOSS
• Ability to troubleshoot software configuration problems
• Demonstrated ability to handle/organize multiple complex technical projects simultaneously
• Ideal candidate must have strong analytical and development skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A commitment to detail is essential

• This position reports to the Vice President, Advanced Development

Specific Duties Include:

• Design, develop and implement new application functionality
• Document all delivered development work
• Work closely with QA team to implement the new functionality
• Troubleshoot and fix complex problems in the application
• Work closely with other senior developers to identify areas and methods to improve application efficiency and increase product reliability
• Lead application projects and assist in the training of entry and intermediate level staff members
• Develop application specific plans and features in conjunction with Product Manger and executive team
