Timothy D. Garcia

CEO & President

Tim Garcia brings more than 36 years of Enterprise Software Management, Sales and Development experience in the enterprise software market. Under his leadership, Apptricity’s growing client base now includes several of the world’s largest organizations. Customers include AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Brinks, Bed Bath and Beyond, TD Bank, the US Army, and US Air Force.

Prior to Garcia’s 20 years as Apptricity’s CEO, he held leadership management positions at Pivotal Corporation (IPO) (Nasdaq: PVTL), Compuware Corporation, (IPO) (Nasdaq: CPWR), Peregrine Systems (IPO)(NYSE: HPQ), Sterling Software (IPO)(NYSE: CA), and EDS (NYSE: HPQ). He received his BA degree in Economics from the University of California at Davis. Tim is an avid baseball fan and coached both of his sons, helping them earn college baseball scholarships, with the youngest being drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2018.

Steve DeCosta

Steve DeCosta CFO Apptricity headshot

Steve DeCosta is a highly accomplished finance executive and business partner with 20+ years of experience leading finance and accounting activities for private equity-backed and publicly held companies with $30M to $1B in revenue. His experience spans multiple industries including entertainment software publishing & development, market research and healthcare and includes companies with both U.S. and global operations. 

Prior to Apptricity, he held key leadership roles at THQ, Inc. (Nasdaq: THQI), Research Now and T-Systems. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from California State University, Northridge. 

Mark Oliver

EVP, Product & Support

Mark Oliver has more than 20 years of software sales experience in the enterprise applications market. He is known for building and developing technical organizations. Prior to Apptricity, Oliver was the Director of North American Application Specialists at Pivotal Corporation (Nasdaq: PVTL), an enterprise eCRM provider.

He quickly built a team to support the entire sales operation across North America. Oliver also held key positions at enterprise software companies, including Cognos Corporation (Nasdaq: COGN), Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq: CPWR), and Uniface. He received his BBA in Information Systems from James Madison University.

Ralph McCoy

VP, Enterprise Delivery

Ralph McCoy brings more than 20 years of technology development leadership experience in the enterprise applications market to Apptricity. Prior to Apptricity, McCoy formed NetLinx, a provider of advanced communication and location tracking solutions for the healthcare industry. There he managed the development of multiple Web and wireless products.

Before NetLinx, he was a senior manager with First Consulting Group. He performed acquisitions and new product venture technology assessments for technology companies. McCoy received his BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Oklahoma.

John Song

VP, Research and Development

John Song is VP of software development at Apptricity, where he is responsible for Apptricity’s software engineering, technical operations, and product innovation. Prior to joining Apptricity, John was the chief technology officer of Systum, a venture backed e-commerce company specializing in B2B and inventory management operations. John has more than 20 years of technical leadership experience in building teams, creating and managing complex processes, and optimizing the complete technology product cycle.

John holds both a MS and BS in Engineering Mechanics from Columbia University in New York.

Gary J. Daichendt

Mr. Gary J. Daichendt has been a Managing Member of Theory R Properties LLC since October 2002. With more than 25 years of experience in IT industry, he has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Nortel Networks and as Executive Vice President of American Internet Corporation. He served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations at Growth Networks, Inc. and Combinet, Inc.

Mr. Daichendt leadership experience also includes serving as an Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations with global responsibility for sales, distribution, manufacturing and the global alliances at Cisco Systems. He spent ten years with IBM in various sales, marketing and management positions. Since February 12, 2016, he has been the Chairman of the Board at Polycom, Inc.

Mr. Daichendt received Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Youngstown State University in Ohio and Master of Science degree in Mathematics from the Ohio State University.

 

Phillip Dunkelberger

Phillip Dunkelberger has broad leadership experience resulting from more than 30 years in technology. Prior to leading Nok Nok Labs, Mr. Dunkelberger served for 8 years as co-founder and CEO of PGP Corporation, the leader in the Enterprise Data Protection market, until acquired by Symantec in 2010. He has significant experience in SaaS infrastructure and enterprise software, having served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Doll Capital Management (DCM), President and CEO of Embark, and COO of Vantive Corporation. He has also held senior management positions with Symantec, Apple Computer and Xerox Corporation.

Mr. Dunkelberger has served on several boards of directors, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Ionic Security. He is a founding board member of the Cyber Security Industry Alliance (CSIA) and is Chairman Emeritus of TechAmerica’s CxO Council. Mr. Dunkelberger holds a B.A. in Political Science from Westmont College and is a member of the school’s President’s Advisory Board.

Charles Moss “Charlie” Duke Jr.

Charles Moss “Charlie” Duke Jr. is a former American astronaut, retired U.S. Air Force officer and test pilot. Duke was one of the 19 astronauts selected by NASA in April 1966. He served as member of the astronaut support crew for the Apollo 10 flight. He was CAPCOM for Apollo 11 during the first landing on the Moon. Mr. Duke served as backup lunar module pilot on Apollo 13.

Additionally, Duke served as lunar module pilot of Apollo 16, April 16-27, 1972. He was accompanied on the fifth manned lunar landing mission by John W.Young (spacecraft commander) and Thomas K. Mattingly II (command module pilot). Apollo 16 was the first scientific expedition to inspect, survey, and sample materials and surface features in the Descartes region of the rugged lunar highlands. Duke and Young commenced their record setting lunar surface stay of 71 hours and 14 minutes by maneuvering the lunar module “Orion” to a landing on the rough Cayley Plains.

In three subsequent excursions onto the lunar surface, they each logged 20 hours and 15 minutes in extravehicular activities. This involved the emplacement and activation of scientific equipment and experiments. They collected nearly 213 pounds of rock and soil samples. Also, they evaluated and used the Rover-2 over the roughest and blockiest surface yet encountered on the moon.

Marc D. Layne

Marc is a retired investment banker who covered the Telecommunications and Communications Technology sectors for almost 20 years. He began his career at Bear Stearns, ultimately becoming Co-Head of the Communications Technology Group. After the acquisition of Bear Stearns by JP Morgan, Marc continued to cover Communications Technology at JP Morgan. Marc finished his career as a Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets, where he headed the Communications Technology vertical, focused on hardware, network-oriented software and network security. Marc has executed over 100 transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, restructurings and other capital raises.

Marc is currently President of Arc-Com, which designs, manufactures and distributes textiles for use in commercial interiors, where he is responsible for all aspects of the business’ operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lehigh University, is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), and has a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from The Stern School of Business at New York University.
